Baltimore offers one of the most
eclectic collections of museums to be found in any city. Where
else can you find a classical art museum, an anti-classical art
museum and a museum dedicated to Babe Ruth?
The centerpiece of Baltimore's art
scene is the renowned Baltimore Museum of Art. The largest museum
in Maryland, the BMA offers over 85,00 works of art from
European and American masters.
On the other side of the spectrum
is the Visionary Art Museum dedicated to outsider art, or art
produced from untrained artists.
Besides these art museums, Charm
City has exhibits that reflect Baltimore's history and connection
to the sea like the Maritime Museum, the Washington Monument and
the Civil War Museum.
